Kyle Mundy – Guitar, Voice
Stuart Green – Bass, Voice
Barry Short – Drums, Voice

Peerless Pirates hail from middle England – somewhere between The Cotswolds and The M4 corridor should cover it - but nowhere near the coast surprisingly.

Their sound is a rollicking, roustabout mix of classic 80s energetic indie, sea shanties, rockabilly, surf-rock and spaghetti western soundtracks. “Rum-soaked fun” is a phrase often – and justifiably – bandied about. If you’ve forgotten the time when indie sounded fun, here’s your chance to get re-acquainted.

They have been around in their current guise since 2010 and have performed many gigs around Oxford and London to much critical acclaim drawing many glowing reviews of both their live performances and songs.

The summer of 2013 saw the band perform 2 sets at Glastonbury Festival and since then they have gone from strength to strength by supporting the likes of The Monochrome Set, Mad Dog Mcrea and My Life Story.

The band has played live radio sessions for both Recharged Radio in London and for BBC Introducing Radio Berkshire. Their songs have also featured extensively on BBC Introducing Radio Oxford and various internet radio stations.

The band have released 2 EPs to date, their debut EP entitled “Thieves & Miscreants” in 2012 and their second EP “Nelson’s Folly” which was released in October 2013 and in September 2014 they released a single called “El Gringo” bringing a Mexican flavour to the proceedings which was accompanied by an official music video.

Looking forward to 2015, the band will be hoping to continue their meteoric rise with many more gigs, festival appearances, EP releases and new material.
